Hello and welcome to the blog, everyone! Here we’re going to let you know about what’s going on with us at BookWorks in the weeks leading up to our big launch in September. We’ll also share our thoughts about the publishing industry and goings on in the news so that you’ll stay informed about the self-publishing world and beyond.
This Tuesday, BookWorks founder and accomplished editor Betty Sargent was invited to speak at the very first NY Self Publishers Meetup at the CUNY graduate school of Journalism in New York, along with editor Alison Brower and Bibliocrunch founder Miral Sattar. Betty had some great advice on how to find the right editor for your project, and we met a lot of great entrepreneurial authors of all ages and backgrounds, each looking to get involved with self publishing in some way. Thanks to Miral for letting the BookWorks team attend, and we hope to keep being involved with events like this in the future.
Right now BookWorks is still finding its footing in the social media world, so we’d love to get your feedback about ways that we can provide the information that you want to know!
